Accommodation

Accommodation has been pre-booked at hotels of different standard. There are two types of accommodation: Hotels - bedroom and a private bathroom.
Apart hotel (also called flat service): a bedroom, a small kitchen, a small living room and a private bathroom.

Rates

The prices shown are for standard rooms, per room and per night, for the number of persons selected, in the period August 12 to 21, 2006. They include local taxes and breakfast, with the exception of the Flat Casablanca, that does not include breakfast (estimated breakfast cost = R$ 12 per person at this apart hotel).
The prices shown are guaranteed only for reservations made up to April 15, 2006.Check in and out time is 12:00 am.Children up to 10 yr are accommodated at no charge.

Reservation

Accommodation can only be guaranteed if you have stated a credit card number on your hotel reservation form. By this customary procedure the hotel guarantees the prices shown, which may otherwise be subjected to changes at any time, and the room will be saved for you, until noon of the day following that announced. However, if you do not arrive the day you have stated, the hotel will charge you a no-show fee for one night. The card number will NOT be used neither by the conference secretariat nor the hotel without your authorisation, in any other case than in a no-show situation.

Local Currency

The Brazilian monetary unit is the Real (BRL), divided into 100 cents. In November 2005; Euro 1=BRL 2.539, USD 1=BRL 2.163, GBP 1=BRL 3.769. You may wish to visit the website at www.oanda.com/converter for information on the exchange rate for your own country.
